Mobile, Ala. – The University of South Alabama’s Department of Music will host a series of four faculty recitals as part of its annual USA Piano Camp, taking place June 23–26, 2025. All performances will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. The public is warmly invited to attend.
This year’s Piano Camp focuses on the rich and expressive music of the Romantic Period. The repertoire will highlight works by celebrated composers Robert Schumann, Clara Wieck Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn, and Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel.
The recital series will showcase performances by distinguished camp faculty:
- Monday, June 23 – Robert Holm
- Tuesday, June 24 – Hannah Roberts
- Wednesday, June 25 – James Helton
- Thursday, June 26 – Michael Gurt
A special finale concert by camp participants is scheduled for Friday, June 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the same venue.
Tickets for the faculty recitals will be available at the door. General admission is $5, with both cash and card payments accepted. Admission is free for all Piano Camp participants. Musical Arts Concert Series passes will also be honored.
All performances are open to the public and are expected to feature a broad selection of Romantic works, providing an opportunity for audiences to enjoy classical piano music performed by seasoned artists.
