PERRYSBURG — The Wednesday at Woodlands concert series continues this week with a live performance by Jeff Kerscher. He will play a selection of timeless songs on Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Woodlands Park shelter, located at 429 E. Boundary St.
Picnic tables will be available for those who want to enjoy lunch during the show. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to ensure a comfortable seat.
Kerscher, a seasoned musician with over 40 years of experience, is known for his piano-driven renditions of classic hits from the 1970s and 1980s. His set will feature music by Billy Joel, Elton John, Queen, Foreigner, Journey, and others. Audiences can expect strong vocals, chances to sing along, and a nostalgic atmosphere.
He began his career performing in piano bars, later joining the bands High Society and The Affair. With these groups, he achieved regional radio success and even appeared on MTV. Kerscher also composed more than 80 original songs for the PBS children’s series Abracadabra, which won an Emmy Award in 2018. He served as the show’s music director.
In addition to his musical career, Kerscher practices law in Perrysburg and is the founder of Stage-Pro, a backline production company. Stage-Pro has supported hundreds of major artists, including The Beach Boys, Gwen Stefani, Pat Benatar, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, and many more.
The Wednesday at Woodlands concert series is presented by the City of Perrysburg and the Norma Stark Memory Garden and Labyrinth. It is also supported by Reel JP (sound support), main ART-ery (concert coordination), and Charlie and Kathy Gries.
